Blue Canyon Game Conservancy (2008)

Jordan Properties converted ten previously separated farms into one large private game reserve. The Blue Canyon Game Conservancy fits neatly between the Greater Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve in the Hoedspruit area.

In his continued quest to expand conservation areas, Trevor Jordan spearheaded the creation of the Blue Canyon Game Conservancy, a 15 000 hectare stretch of richly diverse bushveld, proving once again that it is possible and plausible to harmoniously integrate the environment and commercial enterprise in a workable and mutually beneficial relationship.

Jordan Properties has brought big game onto the fringes of the town of Hoedspruit, with the result that the presence and natural wonder of the animals draw over 500 000 visitors to the area annually. Leadwood Wildlife Estate is within the boundaries of this new 15 000 hectare conservancy which contains four of the Big Five with the exception of buffalo.
